Ventspils Augsto tehnoloģiju parka teritorijā šobrīd ir liela rosība, jo sākušies sestās ražošanas ēkas un automašīnu stāvlaukumu būvniecības darbi. Jau pēc gada šajā vietā būs divas jaunas ražošanas ēkas vairāk nekā 10 tūkstošu kvadrātmetru platībā un divi jauni stāvlaukumi ar 133 automašīnu vietām.
Ražošanas ēka Nr.6 būs lielākā no trim jaunajām rūpnīcām, kas pēc Ventspils brīvostas pārvaldes pasūtījuma tiks uzbūvētas Ventspilī tuvāko divu gadu laikā. Tās platība – 6000 kvadrātmetru. Ēkas projekts izstrādāts ciešā sadarbībā ar inovatīvo iepakojumu ražotāju “Immer Digital”, ar kuru noslēgts līgums par topošās ēkas nomu, ņemot vērā uzņēmuma vēlmes. Līgums par ēkas būvniecību noslēgts ar SIA “Ostas celtnieks” par 7,7 miljoniem eiro.
Tā kā darbinieku skaits Ventspils Augsto tehnoloģiju parkā palielināsies, nepieciešams pilnveidot arī pārējo infrastruktūru. Šobrīd sākušies arī divu jaunu autostāvlaukumu būvniecības darbi. Tajos būs paredzēta vieta 133 automašīnām. Lai gādātu par tīru vidi, zem jaunajiem automašīnu stāvlaukumiem būvē arī lietusūdens attīrīšanas iekārtas ar smilšu un naftas produktu atdalītāju. Stāvlaukumu būvniecību veic SIA “Ventbetons-V” un SIA “Ventspils labiekārtošanas kombināts”.
Līdz 2021.gadam Ventspils brīvostas industriālajā teritorijā plānots uzbūvēt trīs jaunas ražošanas ēkas – divas Ventspils Augsto tehnoloģiju parkā un vienu Ventspils lidostas rūpnieciskajā zonā Ganību ielā 103.
Ventspils brīvostas industriālajā teritorijā pēc Ventspils brīvostas pārvaldes pasūtījuma kopš 2002.gada uzbūvētas 9 ražošanas ēkas, darbam Ventspils brīvostā piesaistīti vairāk nekā 20 ražošanas uzņēmumu, kas kopā radījuši vairāk nekā 1700 jaunu darbavietu. Apstrādes rūpniecības izaugsmes rādītāji Ventspilī šobrīd ir augstākie Latvijā, ļaujot Ventspilij ieņemt stabilu vietu reģiona rūpniecisko centru vidū.
Stāvlaukumu būvniecība notiek projekta “Degradētās teritorijas atjaunošana Pārventas industriālajā zonā Ventspilī”, Nr.5.6.2.0/18/I/004, ietvaros, kas tiek realizēts ar Eiropas reģionālā attīstības fonda līdzfinansējumu darbības programmas “Izaugsme un nodarbinātība” 5.6.2. specifiskā atbalsta mērķa “Teritoriju revitalizācija, reģenerējot degradētās teritorijas atbilstoši pašvaldību integrētajām attīstības programmām” ietvaros.
